The Winnipeg Police Service are kicking off their 2nd Annual Brave the Shave! Where police officers and civilian staff will sign up to shave their heads in the hopes of raising enough collectively to grant a life changing wish for a child with a critical illness.
Make-A-Wish Canada, is the charity of choice for this initiative as it’s closely affiliated with the WPS and is in dire need of resources with the pandemic interrupting their efforts to grant wishes.
Brave the Shave needs YOU! There are multiple ways to help, you can volunteer to crop the mop and collect pledges from anyone and everyone, you can pledge someone who is willing to Brave the Shave, or come out and help at the event itself!
Last year Brave the Shave raised $30,000!
WE NEED YOU!!! We have a handful of informal commitments from some amazing people with really great hair that are already signing up to BRAVE THE SHAVE! But we are looking for more to take part this year and grant at least 3 wishes for Children with critical illnesses.
