Unilever Making Wishes Come True 2025

The team at Unilever has once again committed to helping Make-A-Wish® grant life-changing wishes! To date, Unilever has raised over $81,000 in support of Make-A-Wish. 

With our generous donors and supporters, like the amazing team at Unilever, we can continue to give a child hope, comfort and precious moments with their family.  

We’d like to introduce you to Zoey. Zoey was born with a rare congenital heart disease, leaving her with only half a heart. At just five hours old, she had her first of four open heart surgeries where she had a shunt put in. She had to undergo emergency surgery soon after due to a kink in her shunt, as well as a chest tube surgery to drain a litre of fluids from her lungs. Due to her compromised immune system, her family is constantly in a state of worry.  

Zoey told us that the best day she ever had was when she was told she was getting a wish! She loves singing, dancing, and most importantly, when ALL the attention is on her. She has always wondered what it would be like to be famous and thanks to her wish to be a celebrity, she now knows exactly what It’s like! “Zoey’s wish was like nothing we could ever dream of for her,” Zoey’s mom Amanda shared. “It was honestly everything and more for her and myself!”  

As part of her wish, Zoey and her mom spent a wonderful weekend staying at a luxurious Toronto hotel, where they got the full VIP experience. They were escorted all around the city in a limo, were pampered at the spa, and had a shopping spree with their own personal shopper. Zoey had a custom dress made for her that she designed herself, and got her hair and makeup professionally done for her very own photoshoot. When arriving back to their hotel, Zoey stepped out onto a red carpet, where adoring fans and paparazzi were getting autographs and snapping photos with her.  

Zoey wanted nothing more than for her beloved nanny to be part of her wish, but sadly she passed away before her wish came true. “When [Zoey] speaks about her wish, she always says how nanny would love this,” Amanda shared. Zoey’s wish was a pivotal turning point in her journey. She was able to have a truly one-of-a-kind experience, after all the hardships she encountered. “My wish was amazing and [everyone] made me feel so special,” Zoey shared. To this day, Zoey still talks about her wish and how famous and special she felt in those precious moments.
