Heroes Challenge Calgary 2023

What is it?  

Heroes Challenge is a unique team-building experience where your participation helps create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. The magic of this event is that it brings together two types of Make-A-Wish heroes: our supporters and our wish children. Heroes Challenge encourages everyday people to swap their business attire for superhero suits as they team up with a wish child to create their very own superhero squad. Each team is challenged to raise $10,000, the average cost of a wish and then all teams come together at the end for an epic day of in-person challenges at Century Downs Racetrack and Casino.

How can I get involved?

Register a Superhero Squad (squads can include coworkers, family members, friends). Your first challenge is to raise $10,000 to help us grant wishes to children with critical illnesses. It’s a great team building exercise your team will remember for years to come. You don’t need any special skills to participate, just a willingness to raise funds in your community.

How do I raise the team participation goal?

Fundraise your participation goal leading up to the event and/or make a corporate donation. Reach out to your family, employers, and friends to donate to your team page. Make-A-Wish can help provide ideas and some branded materials.
