For over 16 years, the generous SPFK community has come together to play ball, have fun, and raise much-needed funds for Make-A-Wish. This community-organized softball tournament has raised more than $1.2M to grant the heartfelt wishes of kids living with critical illnesses, impacting thousands of families and the communities they live in.

A child is diagnosed with a critical illness every 20 minutes. With three new children facing critical illnesses each hour, our need for donations is continuous.
Spring is a time of new beginnings that brings renewed hope as we emerge from the dark clouds of isolation and anxiety that hovered over us for the past 3 years. With hope, we find the resilience to restart the dreams that we have put on hold and feel the warmth of reconnecting with loved ones and friends. But for many children with critical illnesses, doctor’s visits, painful treatments, and isolation continue to be their “normal”, robbing them of the simple joys of childhood.
In 2022, we granted over 1,000 life changing wishes. We still have thousands of wishes waiting to be granted. We cannot grant those wishes without your help. Make-A-Wish Canada is proudly celebrating 40 years of wish granting in 2023, having granted more than 37,000 wishes since 1983.
