Heroes Challenge Halifax 2023

What is it?  

Your team (of 10 -12 people) will participate in an action-packed day of fun challenges, at the Mic Mac Mall, on September 20^th! For every challenge your team completes, you will earn points to save (win) the day. There will be a variety of entertaining challenges for everyone. To inspire your journey in helping to grant a wish, each team will be paired with a wish kid captain.

Food and refreshments will be served at the end of the event, and prizes will also be handed out! Let's celebrate your victory of bringing hope and joy to wish kids!

Why should I join?

Right now, there are over 65 children waiting for their wishes in Nova Scotia – we need your help to grant them.

Every 20 minutes, a child is diagnosed with a critical illness. Every one of these kids needs a wish to help give them strength and joy. Wishes are more than a nice to have, they are a need to have, and they are an integral part of a child’s treatment journey. Research shows that wishes can help children feel stronger, more energetic, and more willing and able to battle their critical illnesses.    

How can I get involved?

Register a Superhero Squad (squads can include coworkers, family members, friends). Your first challenge is to raise $10,000, as a team, to help grant wishes for children with critical illnesses. You don’t need any special skills to participate, just a willingness to raise funds in your community. It’s a great team building exercise your team will remember for years to come!

How can I meet the fundraising goal?

You can fundraise individually and/or as a team, leading up to the event day (September 20^th) and/or by making a corporate donation. We encourage you to share your fundraising goal on your social media accounts, reach out directly to your family, friends, and staff, as well as host mini fundraisers. We can help provide ideas and branded materials!
