Make-A-Wish^® Canada creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. This year, as they celebrate their 40^th anniversary, Make-A-Wish^® Canada faces the unfortunate reality of over 4,000 wish children from across the country waiting to have their wish granted. Now that travel wishes have been reinstated, Make-A-Wish^® Canada is relying on the support from community members and partners more than ever to help address the backlog, and make wishes come true!

Since 1983, supporters have helped grant over 37,000 wishes to children living with critical illness. Make-A-Wish^® Canada is on a quest to bring every eligible child’s wish to life because a wish is an integral part of a child’s treatment journey. Research shows that children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength needed to fight critical illness. Make-A-Wish^® Canada is part of the network of the world’s leading children’s wish-granting organizations, serving children in every community across Canada.
