The Commerce Games aim to promote exchanges between the members of the various student associations of the faculties of administration of member universities and the business world and to allow participants to compete with their peers in an atmosphere of camaraderie and healthy competition.

The JDCs are the only activity organized solely for undergraduate university students of this stature in Canada. Participants are involved in one of the five components presented at the JDC: academic, social, sporting participation or contribution.

The spirit of the JDC is one of fraternity and exchange between all the stakeholders involved. All delegation members, including participants, coaches, chaperones, volunteers, etc., must demonstrate their team spirit within their delegation, with members of other delegations and with anyone involved in the JDC.

 

In 2024, the Jeux du Commerce is enchanted to restore the magic by partnering with Make-A-Wish | Rêves d’enfants Canada for the Contribution component.

Make-A-Wish | Rêves d’enfants Canada’s mission is to grant wishes that transform the lives of children with critical illnesses.

Every 20 minutes, a child is diagnosed with a critical illness and faces challenges. Physical pain, hospital stays, medical procedures, lengthy treatments, and doctor visits are a part of life for a child with a critical illness. Research has shown that children whose wish have been granted by Make-A-Wish | Rêves d’enfants Canada are much more likely to have the physical and emotional strength to fight a serious illness.

Since 1983, Make-A-Wish / Rêves d'enfants Canada has made over 37,000 wishes come true across the country. In this 36th edition of the Jeux du Commerce, let's bring the JDC magic to life and do our part to increase that number!
