Over the past 41 years, Make-A-Wish Canada has granted more than 39,000 wishes, and this year, will grant more wishes in a year than ever before, but, the hard truth is they are still not reaching 59% of children with a critical illness in Canada.​ Across Canada, a child is diagnosed with a critical illness every two hours, and Make-A-Wish Canada does not have sufficient funds to grant wishes to them all.
