This year I am gathering my courage and participating in Make-A-Wish®Rope for Hope, rappelling down from great heights, to help grant the wishes of children living with life-threatening medical conditions.
I am a Wish Family. My daughter’s wish of traveling to Hawaii came true in 2013 after battling cancer…thanks to the Make-A-Wish® Quebec foundation.
My daughter and I now volunteer as Wish Grantor’s with Make-A-Wish®.This means we help kids fulfill their wishes and it’s so amazing to give back.We are currently working with 4 children; a 5-year old girl who is a cancer survivor, a 6-year old boy with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, a 5 year old girl from Quebec with a neurological condition and suffers from severe seizures and a 12 year old boy who also has a neurological condition.
I want to now take it a little further and challenge myself by raising some money for Make-A-Wish®by rappelling 29 floors on May 25th of 2018.Your support will allow the foundation to continue to create powerful wish experiences, improving a child’s state of mind, replacing fear with happiness and helping them to feel like a normal kid again.
Sick children already have to deal with many hospital and doctor visits, medical exams, needles, medication, physical therapy, more tests…So a wish come true helps them feel stronger, more energetic, more willing and able to battle their life-threatening condition. As a parent, Make A Wish puts a smile back on your child’s face and that is priceless!
Please donate and support me in Make-A-Wish Rope for Hope!
