When I saw Jeff Green (a friend of my brother Glen) post about his entry in the TRAILBLAZE CHALLENGE, I was planning to donate to him immediately as Make-A-Wish Canada is a charity very close to my heart. However, after thinking about it for a few moments longer I realized I could raise even more money by entering it myself.
Glen was lucky enough to have a wish filled when he was at Children's Hospital and I've tried to donate to them when I have the opportunity but I've never made a concerted attempt at fundraising for them. The minimum goal they need for my participation is $2000 but I would like to surpass that. With that in mind, I'm hoping you will consider supporting my fundraising for Make-A-Wish.
I'm looking forward to taking part in the TRAILBLAZE CHALLENGE. It's a one-day 40km hike in September, just days after what would be Glen's 35th birthday. I will be raising money to grant wishes for other children in BC and the Yukon who find themselves in life-threatening medical conditions. Having a wish come true helps children feel stronger, more energetic, more willing and able to battle their condition. For many of them, it marks a turning point in their fight against their illnesses.
Help me make a difference. Your support allows Make-A-Wish to create powerful wish experiences, improving a child’s state of mind, replacing fear with happiness and helping them to feel like a normal kid again.
