Thank you for visiting our FAQ page.

Is there parking available?

  • Yes, free parking is available in the Northeast parking lot here.

How many people are needed on a team?

  • Teams must have 16 people on their team in order to compete. Teams can add substitutes to their roster in case someone is unable to make it or pull on the day of the event.

I want to fundraise but don't want to take part in the pull. Can I still have an online profile?

  • Yes! Please select the Fundraiser option when you go to register, and you will be able to set up a fundraising profile and have your total added to your team’s goal without actually participating in the pull on event day.

Are there awards and prizes available?

  • Yes, prizes and awards will be available for the top three fastest pulling teams, the top fundraising team, and the best team spirit. For more details, see our Awards page

Where do funds raised go?

  • All funds raised at Pull for Wishes will provide invaluable support for our mission: create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
  • A child is diagnosed with a critical illness every 20 minutes. With three new children facing critical illness each and every hour, our need for donation is continuous. Our goal at this event is to generate enough funds to grant the wishes of 18 children in Southern Alberta. We still have thousands of wishes waiting to be granted. We cannot grant those wishes without your help.

What happens if the weather is bad?

  • Make-A-Wish Canada and our venue will monitor the weather leading up to and on the day of the event. Safety is our priority, and if the conditions on the day inhibit our ability to host the pull, we will consider delaying the event time or rescheduling for an alternate date.

Will food and drinks be available?

  • Food and beverages will be available to all teams participating and any spectators. Please see the Event Details page for a schedule of activities.

What else is there to do?

  • Aside from participating in the competition, there will also be a spectator area available for friends, family, and colleagues to watch the pull event. Food and beverages will be available for all guests and participants, and games and activities will be available for children.

Are kids allowed?

  • All individuals competing in the pull event must be 18 years of age or older. However, children are allowed in the spectator area when accompanied by an adult.
  • There will be a designated area with games and activities for children at the event.
