Make-A-Wish is the world’s leading wish granting organization. We have been making wishes come true since 1983, granting over 39,000 across the country. We are on a quest to bring every eligible child’s wish to life, because wishes are an important part of a child’s treatment journey. Wishes provide kids hope when they need it most, and research shows they have effects on children’s overall well-being and health outcomes.

Impact of a wish

Make-A-Wish provides children with an opportunity to dream BIG, a chance to return to their childhoods (if only for a day or week), and embrace the notion that anything is possible, especially the future. When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope.
