Ty and his family have faced 17 years dealing with numerous health issues. Some of Ty's health issues include heart disease and a rare neuromuscular syndrome which caused worsening scoliosis that compromised his lung capacity and required spinal fusion surgery. Ty's neuromuscular syndrome is so rare that it was only recently diagnosed after exhaustive genetic testing.
Despite making numerous trips to the hospital since birth , Ty remains resilient, seeking comfort in his passion for cooking and exploring new dishes. Inspired by his dad Bernie and his favourite celebrity chefs, Ty had wished to create his very own published cookbook.
With the help of family, friends and health care providers, Ty compiled his favourite recipes, and his wish is now officially granted!
