This summer I will be participating in the 5K Foam Fest benefiting Make-A-Wish® Canada. I'm taking on 2.5 million cubic feet of foam and overcoming 22 obstacles in the worlds #1 5K fun run. The goal is to complete this obstacle course, rain or shine AND raise $500.00 for Make-A-Wish! Our team name is Sadie’s Sloth Dogs and we are running the Foam Fest gauntlet in Sadie’s honour. As many of you know, we lost Sadie in May 2018 after a year and a half of progressive deterioration in her health and mobility. Even when she was in her wheelchair, she loved to have adventures and especially loved to greet children on her travels, right up until her final days. Her wish was to brighten the day of everyone who met her!
I have decided to take on this challenge to raise awareness, as well as donations for Make-A-Wish. Make-A-Wish grants life changing wishes to children with critical illnesses. A wish come true empowers children to fight harder against their illnesses. When they are granted a wish, they get more than just a great experience for a day, two days or a week. That experience improves the quality of life for them and their entire family. I am taking on this challenge to be part of something bigger than myself. Will you join me in helping to make a difference for these amazing children and their families? Our collective help is needed to provide Make-A-Wish the means to grant life changing wishes. Donating is easy and secure! Click on the link below to visit my personal fundraising page.
