Hey folks! This year I am participating in Make-A-Wish® Rope for Hope, rappelling down from great heights, to help grant the wishes of children living with critical illnesses. September 13th at The Westin Nova Scotian, Halifax. Truthfully I am terrified of heights but want to raise money to help these little childrens wishes come true. They face scary treatment for months/years and some for their whole lifetime!
The wishes may be anything from travelling on a cruise ship, owning a computer, meeting their favourite sports star, to flying on a plane or seeing their favourite animal. For the child involved not only do they really enjoy themselves but sometimes this can mark a turning point in their fight against the illness they have, making them feel stronger, more energetic and willing to battle their critical illness.
Your support in raising this money will allow the Foundation to continue to create powerful wish experiences, improving a child’s state of mind, replacing fear with happiness and helping them to feel like a normal kid again. To learn more about this organisation/view successful wishes granted please visit the main website: www.makeawish.ca. Currently Make-A-Wish Canada has granted 8, 134 wishes.
Your donation will help move Make-A-Wish closer to their vision of granting the wish of every eligible child in communities across Canada and not just some of them.
Thank you millions for your commitment towards these little children and for supporting me too!
