After a long work up period leading up to this point, and despite having to contend with the challenges of the COVID19 pandemic, HMCS HALIFAX as finally kick started it’s Run For a Wish event. The Run For a Wish event is in support of the Make-A-Wish Canada to raise awareness and donations for children with critical illness wanting to see a wish come true.  Currently deployed on Operation Reassurance in Europe, the ship’s company has run 4200km which represents the distance between Halifax, NS and the very edge of the Baltic sea. HMCS HALIFAX has now committed to collectively run an additional 4200km and further their support of children with critical illness in our province.
