This is 40!

A few weeks ago, John Cena followed me on Twitter. I will admit, I had NO idea who he was. I mentioned to a few friends and they said ‘uhhh how do you not know him?!! He has granted the most wishes for Make-A-Wish!’. I then told my husband, Craig, about this and he shared that Make-A-Wish has always had a very soft spot in his heart. Despite all our work in making access to healthcare equitable, for some inexplicable reason we had in fact, never really supported Make-A-Wish.

I turn 40 this year. I know most people make bucket lists or have big plans for their birthday. I don’t have any. I never had a bachelorette or a baby shower because I hate having the light on me. Instead I want to raise money for a good cause. And as a parent myself, what better cause than Make-A-Wish?

I am, therefore, hoping to raise $20,000 by my birthday (in September), and plan to match what I raise - up to a total of $20,000 - on September 1, 2023 for a total of $40,000.

If I have offered friendship, help, support or guidance to you especially during the last few years, and you’d like to buy me a coffee or drink, I hope instead you can put those dollars into helping me meet this fundraising goal to bring some happiness and hope into a child’s life.
